New Year's Eve Party

Our favorite museum held a NYE party today...
 
we got to make noisemaker wands and masks,
 
see a magic show,


 
decorate cookies,
 
and had pizza.
 
I stayed downstairs to dance and limbo
 
while Nicholas went back up to drive the train,

 
then I watched him get and then sell tickets
 
until I wandered off to make music.

 
We then met up at the boat,
 
he steered and looked for far away lands
 
while I found some treasured bling...
 
which looked even better with a hard hat, and Nicholas found himself a red bag!
 
Before we knew it the party was winding down, and there was a pre-midnight countdown with confetti!

Holiday Snacks Stack Up

Holidays mean snacks...
 
like sandwiches I can make with cheese, pepperoni and crackers.

Neighborly Visit

Tonight we invited Marty, Irene & Rose over for dessert
 
but it looked so good
 
that I decided to bring over my own chair
 
to get a better look
 

 
and help myself
 
and Em
 
to a snack.
 
Her first choice was some chocolate
 
then a strawberry.
 
Then we decided to be social
 
sitting in on the adult talk...
 
although we did charm them into playing with us.
 
What could be better
 
than playing with us
 
and yummy sweets?

Museum Moments

This morning we went to the Boston Children's Museum.
 
First we played upstairs in the market

 
and while Em played with the carnival float, I headed down to the trucks
 
then we met up and explored the rest of the top floors
 
before going to our favorite playspace.
 
It's got puzzles, trains, cars, beads and more! After an hour or so
 
we left and went down the street to the Blue Wave for lunch
 
then went back to catch a show.
 
Em decided that she was tired, but I went back into the playspace.
 
I just couldn't resist the trains
 
and cars!

Too Cool To Be Seen

 
I though Em's movie star glasses were just too cool...
 
but I didn't wear them when we went to have lunch at the mall
 
or when we stopped at the play area.
 
We saw Uncle Dan while we were there, I think he needed them...especially after seeing us and having some mocha!
 
After he left we went back to playing,
 
having a great time!

The Recovery

 
All that unwrapping and playing yesterday was exhausting!

Christmas Day

After having breakfast & getting dressed
 
we spent the day opening more presents and playing with them,



 
while stopping for the occassional snack.

 
After an early dinner we opened stockings
 
then went to see the lights at LaSalette!
