One of Nicholas's favorite expressions lately is the look of surprise.

2 weeks old

Nick's 2 weeks old today. For his birthday he made another visit to his pediatrician. He's now up to 6 lbs 3 ozs. Which is great news. It means he's eating and healthy. We were told he could gain an ounce a day!


Here he is doing his Mini Me impression. Which is pretty funny since that was our nickname for him before he was born.

Nicholas loves being in his snuggly. It keeps his toes toasty warm and he likes being all curled up...especially his legs. He tries to tuck them up under his chin!

Today, Nicholas lost his stump...and apparently is an innie! Although we noticed that when he was upset to the point of screaming, the innie became an outie. Not sure how long that will keep happening!

Birthday

Nicholas Alexander Smith was born on January 13th at 5:24 pm to Wendy and Dan Smith. Nicholas was 5 lbs 14 ounces and 19 inches long. He was delivered via c-section after 9 hours of pitocin induced labor. Here he is just after birth:
